I used to have a 67 Satellite and now have a 66 Fury... I'm just wondering what the major differences are. How much heavier is the fury?

Your fury is around 3500-3600. satellite would be 3200 to 3300. Not much of a weight difference but my 300 convertible 1966 is 4000 pounds. I'm thinking that you would definitely notice.

Everything but the engine and transmission. Oh, and the fasteners are the same. They use the same console and floor shifter, as well.

It depends on the engine too. Same engine in both cars?

Find a website that lists the wights for 2 vs 4 doors vs longroof and various engines, etc

Then take into consideration power options, brakes, steering, seats, windows, manual vs 4 speed, and other weight adding options.

If they are V-8 cars, the Satellite is more like 3400-3600 actual pounds and the Fury is more like 3800-4000 actual pounds. I have owned both, and weighed both at the track. Lot of variables though.

My satellite had a small block and the fury a big block so that's not helping. I didn't look at the air filter wing nuts though, LOL.

They both are very attractive cars! I would like a clean 66 Fury Hardtop, 440 six pack. four speed. Lots of fun it would be!

If you just spill everything it would be a hell of a lot easier to help you or you could just look up the factory weights of the cars you are looking at with the drive train and model you are looking at and have a pretty close answer.
