Can't mount my rear arm rest. Missing clips?

Cant mount my rear arm rests I got. There are two slots where the screws go. I know I'm gonna have to pull the panel now,but what do I do if I don't find any hardware in the bottom?

are you mounting just the arm rests or the entire panel? there are two large phillips sheet metal screws that go in those holes. they screw into clips in the metal body structure and can be a pain to get lined up. not sure what holds the arm rest to the interior panel though.

the local Lowes has a huge specialty fastening section. you probably wont find the exact part but something similar probably could be used.

Do you need those "today"?

The two screws hold the arm rest base and the pad as well. Whatever they screw into is present on the passenger side but not the other. Im not mounting the passenger side now because everything fits so tightly I,m gonna have to pull the seat again.

Don't need them yet, I'm gonna have to pull the panel, they are supposedly new.The armrest base and pad were missing when I got the car. Note to self: No more buying/trading cars without having the extra/missing parts in hand. I'm hoping I'm gonna find what I need in the bottom. If not, Lowes or even Ace could be a solution.

You're right about that. I did think about that after I had tired myself out,showered and had PJs on. Lol. Too damn cold and windy today. Can't wait for spring which will probably occur somewhere around May 1st.

What you need are probably the special angled clip only used on doors for the arm rest. I have some I can send you.

Yup the two clips are definitely missing from the two small vertical rectangular holes there, get CHP to send you a couple, they look like that new clip 1970cat posted above.

Ah, I for some reason didn't realize they were in the rear.
I know that on the A-body rear armrests were an option and wouldn't have had the clips.
