Great show, perfect fall day and even the Mopar Collectors Guide was there with cameras! I didn't take the Imperial though because neither of my partners in the 71 R/T were available to go and some exposure for that car was very necessary.
Less then 5 C's there and in my opinion one of them deserved best of show along with its owner but I'll get into in a separate post.

Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Love the '73 Fury.

So I walk up to this absolutely stunning '62 300 coupe just freshly restored by one of its original owners! The first thing I notice is that it's a 4 speed and I thought about Stan immediately. Then I notice the person fussing over it is an older women probably in her late 60s or maybe older and I say that because the only other person with her was her 50 year old daughter. Anyway, Anne and her husband who passed some ten years ago bought this car brand new and proceeded to turn it into a race car that they campaigned privately at every drags trip in a 300 mile radius of Detroit, most of which don't even exist anymore. She had photo albums full of vintage pics and time slips. This car was a record holder at many tracks back in the day and consistently ran mid 11 seconds with a best of something like 11.28! Look for a feature on this car in MCG in the future. I spoke to Anne and her daughter for well over an hour and can't wait for the next chance to visit with them. It was originally a 3 speed floor shift car and has had some legendary engines in between its fender wells that only the likes of the ramchargers and other factory race teams used. At least one was a factory race Hemi straight out of the Highland Park Dyno lab! It currently has a 440 in it that Anne actually built with the help of one of her long time friends and the trans is a '65 vintage 4 speed out of a B body.
just look at this thing!
ive got a few more pics of this one that I'll have to post later, my IPad is wanting to attach them upside down and I can't figure out why.

Where's your '71? Thanks for sharing!.
I didn't take any pics of it at the show but here are a couple from the day before after its bath at my shop and one in my garage after the show. I had to get at least one pic of it with the Imp. I was told after the show that the car was tied for second place in best of class even though there were no second place awards handed out. For whatever that's worth.

Nice!!! Do you have an upstairs office or a loft in the shop?

There's a loft over what used to be the front office space which I have now turned in to the wood shop. Not much headroom up there but it makes for a great storage area. I actually took the one pick from a 10' stepladder.

Where are you as far as selling the '71? Will you bring to Carlisle if it isn't sold by then?

It will be sold by then. We are actually having transmission issues with it currently. Unfortunately we were told that the trans was freshly rebuilt when we bought the car when in fact it was just cleaned really well on the outside and painted silver.
In an effort to avoid R & R of trans I dropped the pan and the valve body to find that nobody had been inside recently and there was even a broken tab on the throttle valve linkage. Replaced the broken part, installed a shift improver kit in it, adjusted the bands and put in new fluid and filter and crossed the fingers. Well, it shifts better and is driveable but the rest of the trans is still an old unrebuilt p.o.s.. Trans will be getting replaced this week, already have a known fresh spare on hand.
Have a small crew coming in from Alberta today to look at a few cars locally including this one.

Finish my Road Runner and start on the '70 Challenger. I also have a lot of work planned for my Imp if I plan on bringing to Carlisle! Also buying my dads Challenger vert from him over the winter and there are a couple of things I would like to do to it too. Then there's my business...
