I think he is serious:eek:

He was a member here. I'd recognize that car any day. Kinda sucks, I was hoping to gleen some info from him about a setup similar to this. If I had close to the money I'd be talking to him.

I bet that would be all kinds of fun!

I feel some "stiffness" in my .. er .. neck. yeah, neck. :) I dig this car.

For posterity.

SELLER DESCRIPTION: $17,000 or best offer.

This is not your grandpa's Chrysler. This car is one of the baddest REAL street cars on the road. Every modification was done with streetability in mind. This car is a wolf in sheeps clothing. This car was built to street race and will hook on the street when the tire pressure is lowered to 11-12 psi and the road is mildly prepped. There is not many cars that will beat this car on the street. That is a fact. Keep in mind that this car has an old school 3 speed automatic and 3.91 gears so it screams going down the highway at 70 mph. I'd suggest taking alternative routes that have 55 mph speed limits so you can hold a conversation with your passengers. If you haven't driven a car of this caliber, you should probably not waste anymore time reading this. This car makes a lot of power and can very easily get an inexperienced person into trouble or seriously injured. I've been drag racing my whole life. I've gone 9.30s at 145mph with a 10.5 tire car and daily drove the car in the summer. I'm not some chump that advertises a stock Mustang as "super dooper fast". I am the real deal so trust me when I say if you are inexperienced, this car is not for you. I refuse to exchange money for someone's safety or put someone in harms way.

Here is a video of a start up of the car

and one of the car idling and a walk around look at the car

The car is heavy as a pregnant elephant. I weighed it the other day on my Intercomp scales and it sits pretty at 4,172 pounds. But the car is all steel and real steel from the 60s. There is plenty of areas to shave weight from if you so choose. The car has power windows and power seats. It is an original air conditioning car and I have all of the factory A/C parts that will go with it. This car is rare as well. It is a 2 door hardtop with bucket seats and a factory console and floor shifter. I have only seen 2 others besides this one. From the information I found on the internet, there was less than 2500 made in 1965. This car is a rust free beauty that has extensive modifications. The car can be driven anywhere, any time. The wipers work, the horn works, etc. The paint is from the late 80s and has flaws because the paint is old and the car gets driven. The heater hoses are not hooked up because I don't know if the heater core leaks nor do I care. The heat coming out of the cowl hood keeps the windshield free of fog, frost, dew, etc. The carpet is excellent but the front seats could use some stitching, they're old. The car runs 180-190 degrees no matter how hot it is outside. The transmission runs 150-160 degrees. The car runs great down the highway, shifts good and firm. The ball joints, tie rod ends, brakes, brake hoses, master cylinder and several other items have been recently replaced. J&K Summerfield's did much of the work.

Feel free to ask any questions if you are serious about the car. Don't come to test drive it if you don't have cash in hand. I will take you for a ride if you serious about the car but you will not sit in the driver seat if you don't have cash with you. I am open to offers but don't waste my time with ridiculous low ball offers. Realistically, what I'm asking is a small portion of what is invested in this car. Anyone that knows what they are looking at knows what this is worth and knows this is a hell of a deal. Don't ask me "what my bottom dollar is" or "how much I'll take" before you look at the car. Don't make me an offer before looking at the car either. How the hell can you make an offer on something if you haven't looked at it? No tire kickers or joy rides. If you don't have money or have no intentions of buying this car, don't waste my time. If you are serious about the car and have cash, we can negotiate. I do have some flexibility in the price. I don't need to sell the car, I want to sell the car but I'm perfectly content with keeping the car if need be. Clean and clear title.

I'll say it. Shenanigans. 9.30 at 145 with 4100+ pounds.... pfft that et and weight is all of 1000 horsepower. Looking at it, no power adders, puh shaw. AND you put all that money into the engine and can't spring for a high-torque starter? C'mon.

"Your HP is 995.94 computed from your vehicle weight of 4172 pounds and ET of 9.39seconds."

That was in a Mustang, he has no time listed on this car. I know he was hoping to get this into the 11s when I sold him a torque converter (not the one in the car)

I read the ad already, I don't need to see this **** again! What's the F is wrong with you?

Nothing wrong with him. Once the ad is down, there is no reference anymore. Many times there have been threads where the ad is gone, and there is nothing to refer to. For example For Sale - 1974 monaco
Posterity's sake. So when were all talking about it again in 5 years we can pull up this for reference.

Beat me to it.

I live in PA and my attitude is not that bad.....Yet.

Not you. Oh.

There's that reading comprehension thang again..

Go spend sometime down in Murderland. It was enough to give me a bad attitude. Life always seemed to get a little brighter when we crossed into PA.

My thought is this: too bad that was done to a highly optioned New Yorker. Car had AC, and a console! Do this to a Newport, not a New Yorker! I'm hoping it was a POS when he first got it.

It still is a highly optioned car it just goes faster.
