Christchurch mosque shooting (at least 50 dead)

You've probably heard reports of this sad event. It appears that multiple shooters launched attacks on at least 2 Christchurch mosques, death toll (so far) 50 men, women and children.

Fiona and I are safe as we live on the western outskirts of the city.

I just wanted to advise all my forum friends that all is well with us, can't imagine the horror of listening to the imam's sermon when this vile act happened.

I hope all members are well.

No indeed, fiona said that apparently 9 are confirmed dead, but the !#$$ entered a mosque and opened fire.

The late news here says that the shooter was a white nationalist bent on extracting revenge on Muslims for all the Christians that have been killed by terrorists. He left a lengthy manifesto mostly spewing nonsense. He also said that he hoped to reignite the anti gun debate and start a civil war in the US over the 2nd Amendment that would also be a race war along racial and ethnic lines. One sick SOB. News media here is also reporting 27 dead including women and children and that the area is still locked down. Wish the news was better.
