Naw. Ah Car-Bud up near Seattle sent me ah pic he took at Puget Sound Mopar gathering ah few yearz back of ah 1957 16' Chrysler boat and motor that had finz like ah '57 DeSoto...The neat thing iz that that trailer and boat were being hauled by ah '56 LaFemme. That'z ah boat AND ah haul vehicle that made me slobber all over myself.

That woulda been something to see Jer, what, you didn't have your camera phone on you at the time???

Chrysler didn't start building boats until about 1966.
I think this boat is custom.

Didn't they buy Lone Star Boats and West Bend Outboard Motors to start Chrysler Marine?

i'm tryin' and tryin' to remember where i saw it, i know i've seen an actual Chrysler outboard in my travels in the past year or so. i'd love to get my hands on it...

65, I guess I owe you an apology on the yearz of Mopar boat production. Boatz I've seen with finz and DeSoto tail litez were obviously custom jobz. I count Dave Zantz amoung my friendz and I won't argue with anything he printz on the AllPar site, Jer

I had a small tri hull, I think it was about 16 (Crestliner?) that had a 40hp Chrysler. Great boat & engine. That thing would run about 32 mph on smooth water all day long on next to nothing in fuel. 1960's vintage. Shoulda kept that one!

You don't owe me anything brother, all is well.
Those boats are really cool though.
