Sadly, more never made it past the concept stage... then the ones that actually went into mass production.

Very cool looking concept cars. Chrysler passed on all them...and gave the Dart the green light. Maybe I'm so digusted with the "new" Dart that I can't see a single feature of the old Dart in this design.

Yup, might be the first salvo to get away from "legacy" cars. Market for those cars is/will eventually dry up.

That concept is almost ancient history by car design standards so it hasn't aged well but my point was that Chrysler had a great concept to bring back a legend that would kick GM and Ford's butt but the rapists and pillagers at Dailmer killed that vision.

Yep, that's exactly right.

The newest 300 is bad *** but Chrysler took a long nap that they're lucky to recover from.

They still won't give any support to the enthusiasts. Rolling encryption on the 2011+ PCM's is just ridiculous. Not having a car in NASCAR is also really embarrassing.

I'm too old for a Challenger but if Sergio would give a thumbs up to letting Dodge putting a 6 speed manual into a Charger RT8, that would be my next new car.

We didn't get rid of Daimler until 2007.

combined with the recession, it took a couple of years to turn Chrysler around and back to be a profitable car manufacturer.

You could swap one in pretty easy I bet. Most everything on the LX cars is interchangeable between models. Most guys swap to an automatic.

Now that would be a cool car and a lot fun!

Actually I did look into how to swap a manual into a new Charger. It's obscenely expensive. And there's no computer compatibilty.
