Chrysler vs Imperial wheels

Maybe I'm the only guy that didn't know this, but at least 67 and 68 Imperials have 5" stud circle instead of the 4-1/2" that Chryslers are. Of course I learned it as I do most things, the hard way. :BangHead:

Oh, well I guess I'll just have to look up some 15" steel wheels somewhere else. I guess a call to the local wrecking yard for some van wheels is in order.

Anyway, just thought that I would share that.
 
They're the same bolt pattern as GM.
 
I don't know when this started and stopped but I'm sure it ran for longer than 2 years.
 
GM wheels (before metrics) is 4 3/4.

There may be some later (late 80's?) GM trucks and big cars that are 5", but I don't know what ones.
 
When I needed a spare tire for my '62 300 convert. it had a 4 1/2 inch spread which are the 12" brakes (option) which is different as Imperials. Imperial spread was 5 1/2 inch.
