15 VINTAGE/CLASSIC CHRYSLER,DODGE,PLYMOUTH CARS FROM 1940'S TO 70'S

72monaco.jpg

Well, I'm back on the market again and interested in this black 72 Monaco.

Does anyone here know this place or the guy who sells his collection?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You are not interested anymore when you get detail pics from him!!!!!
( Me and a few others were interested.......)

Cars are ratty, or???
They all appear very shiny, and have held up well in that building with the water-soaked floor.

Standing water
Plastic covering the cars
Hmmmm....
Wonder what the bottoms look like now........

I just assumed the cars were washed in that spot and photo'd immediately afterward.

That bad, huh?

He responded my email and told there is some rust behind the wheel wells, that's all...

Here is the original post quite a few more pictures and details. It appears he may have sold 5 since then. His assessment of their condition and value were overrated. Many didn't have titles a couple months back, but was in the process of getting them. He was pretty straight forward otherwise and offer up VIN #

Thank you very much!

Just read the original thread through... No wonder you all were disappointed, so am I.

Then again, if this Monaco were better, one of you would have got it already, instead of me... A disappointment for me anyway! LOL

BTW, he is asking $4995 now. Still way too high considering...

Looking at both threads it appears that no one from this site has physically looked at any of these cars, and no one has actually verified the existence/non-existence of the titles. There has been no real information regarding the cars since September, except that 5 have been sold. Interested parties should not just give up because a few grainy pics.

Perhaps... However, as far as the Monaco is concerned, those few grainy pics have atleast told us this car has some serious rust issues. That and 30+ years undriven and engine running poorly - is it worth $8000? No. $4995 then? No.

Unless he is willing to negotiate the price much, much lower, there's no need to send a man to take a look at this one, IMHO.

Is this your dreamcar.?
It,s worth what you wanna pay.........
But it is a black on black one !!
When will you see another.??
........:BangHead:

Actually I'm looking for a 4 door 72 - and it doesn't have to be triple black, TX9 exterior will do.

That being said, I'd jump on this 2 door if it was a nice driver instead of a project car...

I was sent a phot pack of the Monaco,...it was a rusty car. Worthy of restoration but not for me.

If I was a Monaco purist, I would have tried to get the car.

There is a state run site that you can enter the VIN # and get information on the titles. The sellers name came up on a handful, probably the ones sold. He told me from the start he didn't have titles for all of them. I don't know their status now.

I don't believe he is trying to pull a fast one, since he provided a VIN # on them. That being said if he still doesn't have the titles, something seems to be wrong.
