"One owner car from North Dakota. Original window sticker. 383 2 barrel. Runs great. has 104,000 miles. Front seat shows minor wear, rest of interior very nice. Body has never had rust, center of trunk floor had rust, treated with POR-15. It's solid but will come with new replacement. Has new trunk mat. Has Mopar ralley wheels with new tires. Also have original wheels with factory hubcaps. Vinyl top is very nice. This is a very good old Chrysler. I'm about 4 1/2 hours north of the Cities. I can deliver the Chrysler if needed. I'm firm on the price, it's an excellent deal for the car. I don't need to sell. Clear title in my name."

That's a good looking Newport. Pretty spartan on options though.

You know I was looking through my car brochures for 69-73 and each had 18 color options on the back. There were only 2 green choices on each except the 73 one where there were three. Makes one wonder why, with all the great choices, so many people fixated on the greens.

Because it's the best colour?

That interior looks great with that shade of green but the wheels I could do without.

From what I've read about all of the shades of green in the late 60s to early 70s used by all of the manufacturers was that the soldiers coming home from Viet Nam were used to seeing green. I read that info two different times from two different sources. My thinking was that green was the LAST color a returning GI would want to see.
