Consoles

I've got the mounting brackets removed from a 69 300.

Those chairs are everywhere out there including your back yard Mr Moseman? Type in ....... car-part.com ...and fill in the blanks for the northwest U.S.A. and DO NOT leave out that " - " or you'll go to the wrong site. 140,000,000 partz there! Make sure you get both ends of the power plug(red+black) and don't even think about tryin' tah making the bun warmers work. Their ain't room under your hood for that whole bag-ah-snakes and the SMCU tah make 'um work. Ask me how I know this, lol. Jer

call your local junk yards as bigbarneycars said they are everywhere. Don't forget craigslist. The frontsseats for the 300, Charger and Magnum are the same. The back seats the 300 and Charger are the same. the magum is different since is't a station wagon/hatch. You could if you are good with fabricaiton use the center console from on of those cars. But you'll need to graft a front piece on to give it a finished look. It will look odd since those consoles are meant to flow into the dash on the new cars. If you arent going with a floor shift you'll also want to fabricate some type of cover for the whole shifter area.

I wouldn't get power seats as it more things to have to deal with. If you can find nice looking cloth you can buy the leather covers. Or see if you can find any leather without the power seat.

also don't limit yourself to just new mopar seats. if you dont the possibilities are endless.

some console ideas:

dont be put off by color either. SEM Color Coat is your friend. :)

Good Luck

I completely overlooked the "late model" 300 part of his post ..... I may be in denial but to me the last 300 was a 1971. I also don't believe in 4 door Chargers.

I agree with you and Stan!
The 72 will be a restomod, and my other 72 will be left as is. The front bench seat, even with the center folding armrest, is fine, but I am a little jaded about 6 way power seats, as my hips and back appreciate being able to adjust the seat as I drive. The puzzle piece that is concerning to me is the console. So, keep me in mind if and when you see any 60's or 70's era consoles. If not, I will have to build one, adapt a newer one, or have a shop mess with one from these guys.

Thanks again,

Everybody is forgetting one critical issue.
Moseman has a 2 door.
He is considering late model seats - all four doors....

necessity is the mother of invention, not to mention the google button. I'm sure he's not the first person to put 4 door seats in a 2 door car. So I bet with enough searching you can find a post somewhere that will point him in the right direction. Also depending on how far forward the new seats can slide there may be no reason to make them tilt forward to get in the back seat. Also take into account your own comfort against how many times people will be riding in the back seat. Also like a said don't limit yourself to just mopar seats. Ford and GM have been building 2 seaters while Ma Mopar wasn't. So if you can handle say Cadillac seats in your Mopar, then go for it. As long as they don't have GM or Ford logos in plain site, who cares.

Stan has a point, and one that I have thought about, and I am not that much concerned. Just really need the front seats, and something to fill in the back. I agree with Kellycom that I probably can get by with siding the seat all the way forward and then tilting the seat forward. I think the key points for me is a good set of comfortable power front buckets. The back seats will be more of a filler and someplace to toss a briefcase, etc.

Thanks again!
