Has anyone been able to convert the models with three tail lights per side (Like the 1971 Chrysler 300) to sequential turn signals?
I know you would have to convert the center two lights which are stop/running lights only to stop/running/ and turn signal lights first.
I know that there are kits to do this for Mustangs (Scott Drake makes a kit - https://www.vintage-mustang.com/thr...ay-sequentials-were-meant-to-be-seen.1221291/ )

Has anyone tried this?

I've actually thought about doing this with my '70 300. I've never seen one, but they did offer this as a option on '69(?) Imperials.

I converted the center tail lights to tail/stop light a couple years ago. This came after the annual state inspection and it was pointed out to me that the outside tail lights were brighter than the inside tail lights, making it appears like the brake lights were on. I had converted to LED bulbs and there wasn't a tail light bulb I could find that would match the tail/brake lights. Maybe there is, but I didn't want to screw around with it, so I bought new sockets for the inside tail lights and now use the same bulb in the inside.

I thought about not wiring the inside lights for brake lights, but it just seemed right to have everything light up for brakes.

I looked at a couple different web sites selling sequential kits, the most promising site was selling kits for Metric Challengers and new Mustangs, but I can't find it now.

Following. I have tucked away the sequential unit from an Imperial (bought from Bob Hoffmeister at Imperial Heaven) - I was going to see if I can make it work on the bench for my 66 Monaco, since its brake lights are 3 bulbs on each side, and not just the outside ones.

There ARE kits to do the sequential lights. One guy I saw on YT (probably 15 years ago), did that on his 1998 Buick (which had a main talk/stop light and the "194" bulbs as tail lights toward the center of the rear light assy). Came out pretty slick.

1964+ T-bird resto vendors sell a newer electronic module. The original sequential lights were done with a motorized contact mechanism in the trunk.

I had pondered doing this on my former 73, but then I realized that I would never see it, only strangers behind me while driving, and why would I go to the trouble of rewiring the tail lights and making them more complicated only for the "amusement" of others.
(change my mind)
