I'm not that familiar with C body convertibles, but I would like to know if the 1969 or 1970 convertibles have torque boxes on them, at least in the rear of the car? Anyone have a photo of such a thing?

I had heard that all the 65 C body convertibles had them but mine does not.
I wouldn't mind installing some if I could find them.

If someone could supply photo's then the rest of us may have something that will work.

I wouldn't mind slapping some in my car either. I also want to do a Dana upgrade.
I have a stroker on the stand and really want to try and get to a 10.99 et. Why? I don't know, maybe because leaving your kids an inheritance is over rated.

I plan to make some for my 66 Polara. They will not be a factory look but functional.
I'm on the sidelines right now with kidney stone surgery but hope to have these done in the next month or so depending on how I recover.

I have over-layed the one that kind of survived.
You can see that there was an oval like hole that allows access to the front spring brackets and there are multiple angles used to create the torque boxes.
the Fury boxes would be 3 inches longer possibly because they use a shorter leaf spring in the 65-68 models

All Chrysler convertibles have torque boxes. All Hemi cars also had them.

My Fury restoration site has a ton of pictures. In the section "Paint the Body Shell" at the beginning are a half dozen pictures of the under side showing the torque boxes. A link is in my sig.

I visited your web blog on your cars but couldn't find the torque box photos you talk about..

It is tremendous documentation I bow down to your dedication to the stages of restoration you kept!:reading::wtg:
