Has anyone bought from Convertible Top Guys on line? Their prices seem pretty good - a new top, pads, cables tack strips and instruction book for 299.00 seems like a pretty good price for a new vinyl convetible top. Most places want that much for the top alone. They seem pretty straight forward, and their products look to be pretty much the same as everyone elses, but it would be nice to hear from people who have actually delt with them. I bought a top once from EZ Soft Tops and wasn't too impressed with it.

haven't dealt with them, but the price doesn't seem bad. what about the rear curtain with window?

Flex only in 65. I haven't even seen anyone that offers a glass window for them. The information says it is Haartz pinpoint vinyl.
Haartz stafast canvas is available, but costs 250 more. I had a stayfast top on my MG and liked the material, but wonder if it is worth almost double the cost. Especially for a car that goes top down for most of the year, or is top up and parked inside in the winter.

I don't think there's any way you could fit a glass window in that top well. If you look at the 67-68 convertibles the top extends back much closer to the trunk openning, so the top well is wider.

I think it was in 1967 when Chrysler changed some, if not all, convertible back windows to glass. The top frames fold differently to allow the glass to set flat in the well. I have heard that a 67 top frame can be used in a 66 model if the glass rear window is desired.

So, what you are saying is the 'vert frames changed in '67 to where you could use glass?

I don't know if you have order you top yet, but I have had a Robbins top on my MGB for probably 15-20 years. I couldn't be happier with the quality. I see we can buy them for our c-bodies. I was looking at the same site that BlueFury361 listed http://www.topsonline.com/model/Con...r/1965_and_1966_Chrysler_300_And_Newport.html

I ordered one from Robbins for my daughters 67 Sport Fury and it didn't fit..they did take it back no questions asked! I had a old world craft$$man build one. Did keep the glass window. You have to zip it down first before running the top down. Looks great!!
