Hey guys,

Yes more questions!! Before she (66 Newport 2 door) gets on the road I will be doing the brakes over, just going to bite the bullet and do the disk conversion. That being said I know bigger rims will have to go on. I would like to go 16-18" nothing bigger.

I know the bolt pattern is 5/4.5

I really like the look of the torq thrust rims, kinda old school but modern. Like what's on a mustang GT or Cobra

If you measure your stock wheels it will give you a good starting point. But if you go wider that will change things.

Unfortunately the fronts are definitely not stock and I really can't tell if the tears are. I just hope someone has the numbers kicking around

just seeing this for the first time.
The stock offset is 4"

if you stick a 7" rim on then to maintain the same balance the the rim will have to have a 4.5" rear offset which makes sense because of the extra 1" width.
divide the 1" in half, add the 1/2" to the rear and you get the same offset.
If you want the rims to stick out you would have to get a 4" offset or less rim
