Has anyone else heard of either of these concepts?

Curtiss Wright for those of you who do not know, was a government contracted company to build wartime aircraft engines.

Curtiss Wright and Chrysler worked on a few concept projects together, two major ones are shown below.

No wonder why Chrysler called the 69-73 cars "fuselage" bodies lol

I was fortunate enough to see Jay Leno's car at the Spring Fling in Van Nuys, CA. The car idled very smooth and it was a trip to hear that turbine sound as he drove away. Very, very neat car.

One of the Curtiss Wright cars is on display at the Army Transportation Museum in Fort Eustis, Virginia. I saw it a few years ago.

museum

BTW, if you are ever near there... Virginia Beach etc., take the time to go through there. It's limited access. At that time I went, they were searching vehicles, including opening everything and looking under the seats. It's worth it though.

I've also been through the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY. Interesting place, not worth a special trip, but still good. Glenn H. Curtiss Aviation Museum - Aviation History / Naval Aviation / Early Aviation - Finger Lakes - Hammondsport, NY
