Here are some teaser shots of the door panels I had made. I was missing one and the other three were shot. Drivers seat was starting to tear and was deformed, so I had that redone as well. Also, How do I get the back seat out? Is it just a typical yank the bottom out type thing?

Your new upholstery looks nice! To remove the rear seat - the base has the typical loop/hook so push the base inward (towards the trunk) then lift up. the back has 2 bolts at the bottom then simply lifts up and out.

Yeah, I forgot I had a FSM, so I looked in there and got the rear seat pulled; thanks though. Getting the bottom out made it a lot easier to work on the window regulator. I think the door panels are gonna look real good! The armrests are in OK shape, the drivers being the worst. The bases have seen better days, I'm gonna look into maybe painting them.

Very nice! Where is the location of the people who did the work for you?

Got the back seat all together! It looks much nicer than it did. Pulled the seats out and gave them a good wipe down. Drivers seat goes back in tomorrow and the passenger door panel gets put together then comes cleaning everything! I also found the broadcast sheet!

Yeah, me too. No one does 65,67,or 68 Fury/300 door panels. They do every other car made sonce 1900, just not these 3 models!
Gotta be a conspiracy! If the folks you used can do it, I guarantee years worth of business waiting out there!

Here's the back.

Any upholstery shop can do this. This guy didn't make these from scratch. The only parts I had of the passenger side were the metal structure, the cardboard, and the "wood" panel. The metal structure of the wood panel is riveted to the cardboard. re-installing it wasn't an option.

I think it turned out tits! I have the passenger door arm rest. Tomorrow I havwe to go out and get some longer screws to install it. The padding of the new panels makes it hard to blindly get the screws started.

Nice work on your interior stew. Looks real good.
I am making new panels and seats for my Desoto now also. I have had a severe mouse problem to reverse. They made themselves right at home.

the way i understand it, the installer must have good "backboards" to redo door panels. They don't/can't provide these boards. Where do they get door panel material?

I've used masonite for my 53 and it worked out fine. http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/showthread.php?7070-1953-Windsor/page4 Post 34.

For my 300, I bought some panel board from http://www.perfectfit.com/15347/Chipboard-Car-Panelboard.html

I did one panel so far ( http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/showthread.php?12192-Finally-in-the-body-shop!/page5 post 46) and it's much easier to work with than the masonite and closer to what Chrysler used.

I've also read that a lot of guys with open hot rods are using ABS plastic panels.
