During the 70's some custom shops made one-off convertibles for those that wanted them.

Looking for a 74-75 Imperial convertible.

If this doesn't work, I may need to make my own.

For more years than I can remember, in the thousands of pics I have looked at of every Formal probably known to man, thats the first one I have seen made into a ragtop. I shocked that it doesn't move me, attractive as it is, but for you, a triple black one is almost mandatory to complete your collection.

I'm guessing it might move you a bit more with a 4 spd?

I always thought the Formals would make a sweet convertible. Those are the only grainy pics I have...I think the proportions are off in one of the pics for sure, which doesn't help.

If I do make a convertible, I'm considering departing from the all black theme. Black seats in a convertible are very hot, so I may go with a white interior. I have a line on a 74 Imperial that is Starlight blue/ white and am considering keeping the colour combination. But I'll probably cave into my love of black cars in the end!

Yeah, but it looks great. I passed on a Mirada convertible with a continental kit ......... that was cool too.

I wonder if Ross has the sawzall warmed up to make a vert out of one of his Imp's?

I wouldn*t even like a Continental Kit on a Continental.
