I am in need of 2 of the black twist in sockets for the dash lights on a 1969 monaco. Do any of you know were I can find some? I have tried the local auto parts stores and they are to small for the opening. Thanks in advance

Be careful when you twist these sockets into their holes. The locking tangs can be somewhat fragile. Their failure mode is usually when one of the tangs deforms/breaks and the electrical contacts both are not in contact with the printed circuit on the back of the cluster. So, gentle yet firm.

I believe there were some variations which had a halogen bulb soldered into the electrical contacts? 1980s GM applications?

Were there none on the "HELP!" rack at the auto supply stores?

Every place I looked at only had1/2” size and the teenagers working at the counters had no idea if they couldn’t find it in the computer.
