o wise and venerable forum -

looking thru the 67 and 68 parts book, and also the FSM, i cannot find a diagram and/or P/N#s for all the weatherstripping that goes on a fast top.

the only thing i can figure out so far is maybe the vent window weatherstrips are the same like 68-79, and the lower door weatherstrip is the same across a bunch of body lines/styles.

anyone have a explod-o-view of the fast top weatherstripping diagram?

most humble and gracious thanks -

nothing huh. drat.

any idea on the piece between the side window and quarter window? its a chrome piece with weatherstripping on the edge. the quarter window edge fits into this chrome piece and moves with the quarter window. it seals up against the back edge of the side window.

Hi,

I may know a source for the chrome pieces, I'll let you know.

As far as the weather strip, the originals are certainly hard to come by. Same design on the 69. The problem is that the chrome strip on the back of the door glass acts as a knife blade to slice the weather strip on the front of the quarter window glass if you roll the window up with the door closed. ALWAYS open the door to roll the window up to be safe.

I found the weather striping at

These are not like the originals but seem to do the job. These are METRO Sponge SuperSoft. I'm sure others sell them but it's very difficult to find the correct part. I had to email them for it.

Thanks,
Rick
