Dick Landy Ramp Truck Restoration

A monumental task. I admire his dedication to saving history. I have more respect for people like him than people that restore a Hemi Cuda.

So your friend's girlfriend works for Hot Rod? She's the one who drives to work in a Dodge, and has the column about it then?

Judging from the pictures, the Landy truck is pretty solid compared to most of the sixties Dodge trucks I've seen. Usually, the sides of the cowls blow out first, followed by the lower door sills and then the doors. It's still a lot of work and I'm glad to see an interest in this part of drag racing history!

It also reminds me of a friend's Dodge ramp truck he had back in the seventies. It was an early Dodge, formerly a beer truck, that had the ramp from a drive on type lift welded to the back. It was rough, but it also had a ton of history, having hauled several well known local cars all over the northeast.
