Discovered another C body sitting.

I ran out this week to pick up some supplies for the job Im doing and decided to take another route. I found this 70 300 sitting behind a Quonset hut. When the ground drys up some Ill go knock on the door and see if I can get some info on it and maybe better pictures.

Nope. I used to see scenes like this all the time driving through the Pine Barrens to get to AC or the Jersey shore. I remember seeing a 70 or 71 300 sitting under a farmers car port for years until one day it was gone. I even stopped and looked at it on one trip. Then just like..poof...it was just empty space.

.....and then there was that 300 Hurst over in Pitman......poof, also. But I still keep an eye out when traveling through rural areas.

Its definitely a 2 door. I couldn't get close enough to tell for sure, but it doesn't look like it has a drip rail moulding.

If you blow the picture up, the back side window roof line looks ragtop. It gets to blurry to tell for sure though.

I think its a 4dr sedan with black vinyl top. I think I can just make out a divide between the front and rear windows. I guess we'll find out shortly (yes, flame me whenever your ready).

There is a really cool old mechanic garage on the north side of Carlisle on Route 11. It used to have a lot of things sitting around, most have disappeared over time. The most recent victim was a '64 chevy wrecker that used to be used to tow cars in when necessary. Those of you who go have prob seen the place several times.

Unfortunately, the man that lives there is elderly, it is just a matter of time before he passes and the entire place gets torn down for some stupid-*** mini mart or something of that nature. I'll have to take some pics, maybe tomorrow if I get over that way.

It's really a thrill to me to see a car like that. This one dosen't look like it has been there very long..... You can still see daylight under it and it's not all grown up around it.

I took my compressor motor to a repair shop in town day before yesterday and saw a really nice 69 Imperial 4 door 2 blocks from the repair shop..... A rare moment that I didn't have my camera. I'm picking the motor up Monday and will get some pic's if it's still there.

Here's a VIP close to me. The guy wants $2500 for it, it's been sitting in the same spot for some time. 383, unknown if it runs or not. The passenger quarter needs some serious attention right up to the lead. I told him my offer stands at $1000 but he has yet to call back.

That is sad. I wish you luck in getting it, rather than it just staying there and rot back into base elements b/c the owner won't sell.
