Does anybody recognize this piece?

1972 newport. Little part found on the ground next to drivers side rear wheel, under the car. Looks almost like a u-joint cap, but it isnt. Possible that it didnt come from the car, but i want to be safe.

Ok, great news. I replaced a wheel cylinder not long ago and it flew apart when i took it out. Thanks!
