Don't know how Chris does it.

I've been working 10 - 12 hours in my shop everyday regardless of the heat. Believe it or not it's easy to avoid the scorching temp out here. You certainly don't want to be in the sun all day but the swamp cooler and fans in my shop keep me cool. Heck I even painted a couple of sets of wheels at about 2 in the afternoon yesterday. Even outside in the shade in 110 you don't sweat like back East when it's 80 with 80% humidity. If we didn't have these three months of hot weather everyone would want to live here. I'm getting ready to spend 10 days in NY and Carlisle and am quite sure I will be more than ready to return to the Oven I call home.

We've had more than 8" of rain in the last 30 days and we're getting 2" - 3" more today. Not to mention the 88 - 94 degree daily temps with insane humidity.

I'm sure that the extreme heat in AZ will head East and hover over Carlisle for the show....

Which is why I said its not wet. I have never seen so much rain. The Jet has yet to swing so the southwest is locked in heat and the North east is stuck with rain. Unless we get a quick swing, Carlisle will be a wet mess

One thing I HATE about the humidity back there is having to change shirts often due to being soaked. I guess I'll have to buy your entire inventory of shirts Dave just so I can keep dry LOL.

On the bright side.....no Tornado watches or warnings so far today.

Yes but it's a dry heat.

Keep hearing that. Unfortunately, my upper limit on heat is about 85-90 maximum. This past weekend both days were 102 in the shade and dead calm. Wasted weekend, being past my limit, to get anything done except at 8 PM to change out a gas tank. The heat hits you in the face the same way an oven at 400 hits you in the face when you open it.

As a comparison I can walk around the Philippines with 88-90 degrees and 92% humidity and it isn't too bad. Bangkok and Singapore at 95 degrees/95% is miserable.

Today at 105, Tuesday/Wednesday at 109, and Thursday at 104. Have never seen a week like this in 40 years in the Bay Area. At least Wed/Thurs. down in Alameda, on the Hornet, where it will be 86 Wed. and 90 Thurs. However, there are very cool places on a ship if you know and have access to them.

Pffft. "Dry heat"
So isn't the heat inside my oven when I'm cooking a Roast Beef. Tell that to the cow....

I'm going to build a swamp cooler for my garage. It's stupid, after about 30 minutes I'm so soaked in sweat it looks like I fell in a swimming pool.
