Dutchman's panel in '68 Fury Convertible

Hey this might sound strange - but do all of these convertibles have a dutchman's panel? I went down to look at mine last night - and I see no evidence. The convertible top fabric is it. From the trunk - you can see the convertible top.

I am obviously a novice here - but expected to see a piece of metal.

You should be looking at the material from the top well liner, or boot. The top should fold into that, not just go into the trunk. The only panel should be a small one between the top well and the back seat.
