Got some shtuff I'm trying to clean up and while a putty knife and steel wool works it's real slow and labor intensive. Looking for something to make it a bit easier. It's chrome plated pot metal if that makes a difference, and there's some pits in the chrome so if whatever it is will get under plating and lift it that may not be best for me. Any easy peasy cleaners out there for us lazy folks? Not just a little overspray, some looks like it was brushed on while more is sprayed, and the whole surface is pretty well coated although it was obviously quite a few years ago.

A putty knife and steel wool on chrome ....? I hope not.
Paint stripper is best. Or lacquor thinner. Use brake clean and a soft brush, (toothbrush), to clean out the pits. then polish and wax.

Actually the 0000 steel wool polishes it quite nicely but it's too fine to get things started.

Depending on how much and what kind of paint EZ Off spray oven cleaner will lift it. Spray it on, wait about 10 seconds and wipe it off.

Rubber glove job for sure tho.

I'm ashamed of myself for not thinking of lacquer thinner, works pretty darn good. This is what I'm working on........ the first two are just a bit of steel wool, not showing what came of the thinner on those back three although I've only hit one with the thinner so far.
