Trying to figure out how to get the emblems back on the car. It looked like there were some rivets that went into the holes, that the emblems pressed into. Anyone know how to get them back on?

Thanks guys!

Looks like there should be two posts on the back of the emblem and they would be held in place with speed nuts from the backside.

Yes sir Greg. There are 2 posts on the backside. However they were not held on by speed nuts. I'll have to see if I can get a picture of what I'm talking about. It looks kida like a rivet that the posts push into, squeezing it between the embelm posts and fender holes

They are simple plastic sleeves, and do not look anything like the ''barrell clips'' mentioned above. If they aren't on the emblems themselves check the holes in the fenders the emblems came off of.

I bought a box of a hundred plastic ones for several bucks. I also had some barrel nuts left over from an earlier car. I found the barrel nuts gripped better.

I guess the box of a hundred plastic ones you bought were not the same ones Chrysler used.

They were advertised as GM. They were identical to the OEM ones on my NYB.
Therefor , no Mopar tax.

I can see how that makes sense, if your gonna paint it like a GM you may as well use GM parts.:rolling: :poke:

Have you noticed you have been thanked only 4 times and none of them have been from me...:icon_butt:

Thank you guys! I'll be on the look out. None of the local hardware stores had anything close to work. They had the flat clips to sandwitch it to the fender. I would be using them, but I can't access the rear hole from behind the fender. There is a support piece there that covers it.

Stan, do you happen to have 4-5 clips you could spare?

One of the emblems I have still has them on it. I wonder if I can get that one back on?

You should be able to reuse the clips on your emblem without removing them.

I can't find my box of plastic ones anywhere!!! :BangHead:

I also use these which I have a have a few laying around that I did unearth in my search.
They work exactly the same. Will these do?

You guys rock! Thank you!

Stan, the picture of the ones you found look exactly like what I have. I might be interested in em depending on this other emblem.

I got the emblem that still had the clips on the car. The emblem seems to stick out a bit at the front, but oh well. Was a little nerving putting it on. Just had to really push, and wiggle it in. Thanks for the info bluefury!

The other fender I have still has the emblem on it.

Is there a way to "safely" remove the emblem with the clips still attached to it? Obviously it can be done, as the emblem I just out on still had the clips on. Just wondering how I might be able to recreate that lol

Thanks again guys!
