I just saw that. I want! but need to have some self control. These tank fuselage cars have really grown on me

Having two would be mind blowing...

Let me help you Doc... Think about the parts you've bought so far, and those you are still looking for... It will be easy to justify the $2500 for a nice color correct parts car you won't likely find again... just be careful, some of us love our parts cars too much to kill them for parts:poke:

I'm honestly afraid I might deplete this one to embellish the other...is it wrong that when I look at this beauty at different moments I'm pulling parts off of it and then later I'm doing a full restoration in my Gemini mind? That can't be right.

Welcome to the club:welcome::rofl:

Well, probably more important to save this as - for now perhaps - a parts car and restore later - as Cantflip says its fallen into your lap - an identical or partly so - car which won't happen again so grab it before its gone forever. Maybe just pay the asking price and secure it rather than quibble. You can likely restore it with help from Murray Park.

This dilemma to buy or not to buy is compounded by my space management issues at this time of year before Minnesota winter hits ...all my cars are going into hibernation soon and all stalls are spoken for. If I lived in the country with a pole barn it would be a slam dunk.

Well then I'm sure someone will be able to store it for you as we have members down that way on farms.

It's unreasonable for us to spend your money for you but I/we would still think you should grab it and find a temporary home after as I'm sure someone will oblige.

Best wishes either way.

Nah... this community is always happy to help spend someone else's money...

Same thing that limits most of our hoards here.

I'm a cheap bastard but I would have bought the damn thing already.
What are the odds of a duplicate of your car, which is rare in itself, is going to pop up again?
Zero to none.

FWIW, you're the reason I posted this specific car.

Yep, get it or you'll regret it.
Let's consideration option#2 for debate...for fun. *And I love color Red for Imperials.
I personally don't like to buy cars that aren't mechanically pretty

sound and pretty much rust free...I would rather buy a clean, complete, drivable Imperial of an off color...say green or yellow? for 10K or? And, then have my body guy strip and re-paint to Rallye Red over a long winter or one year if it takes that much time...{my 57 Chevy took a year}...I would have to be choosy about interior color white or black to work with Red...and I could choose a '73 which I love too. That whole fender tag matching color thing doesn't mean as much to me as to others. I don't own cars for the purpose of resale on the Barrett Jackson block. I love to drive, drive, drive and maintain them and share with others that like them. I'm not an extreme purist type.

This '73 is for sale in Nashville CraigsList...I don't know how to share properly...may be someone can help. $5800.00 i believe. You would think I could learn to share this if i can make YouTube videos of Big Red.
