This car may have been discussed in the past but if not here it is. It’s way beyond restoring so this is mostly for posterity.

Must have missed it . . . anybody know the back story on this one? Looks interesting . . .

No, there was really no way to get a full pic where it sits. Engine and trans is long gone, no interior and the bottom of it is pretty much gone.

Amazing car! I spoke with Murray when I stopped by his place. He mentioned this car but thanks for posting the pictures.

Thank you Matt for mentioning the car and for posting the tag of P’M27L0D233366 (with an April 1970 scheduled build date).

Fancy R35 radio, N88 cruise (rare on a ´70 Plymouth ´vert from what I’ve seen), S62 rimblow wheel (ditto), P31 power windows, G31 passenger-side mirror — whoever special ordered it had a cool time in mind and ordered the car for comfort.

@Trailer Park — can you share what you learned from Murray about the car’s history ?

@hankchinaski posted this photo back in 2015 in this thread:

@fc7_plumcrazy mentioned at the time that the car came up for sale about ten years earlier, maybe he can chime in? Here’s a photo he posted from that 2005-ish sale:

In the same thread @polara71 mentioned that he’s got the photos from that earlier sale too.

a long tme ago it was advertised on moparts. Could have been 2005 roughly
WIth the golden hood. Price was 900$ or 700$.
Looking at my username you can guess I fell in love.
Had contact back then with the seller. He mentioned the frame being rusty.

Till today I feel it needs to be saved somehow

How many purple ones are there? 1 or 2?

He also had a GT that was either plum crazy or mood indigo but all that’s left of it are some small scraps of metal that show the factory color and stripes. I didn’t ask him to go into detail about it as there were too many distractions and time was too short.
