on the way out we flew through the cold front and related storm over central NJ. here's what happened:
for maybe 10-15 secs the plane flopped around moderately - up, down, left, right, then we dropped 25-30 feet (my estimate) and the nose dipped to almost a 30 degree angle for maybe 7-8 secs. 2 ladies in the back screamed. Worst turb i've ever experienced and i've flown many times in all kinds of weather. Maybe 45 secs after that the pilot came on and flapped a bit, he was calm and apologized but also said, "I did say it was going to be a bit bumpy on the climb out." Half overshadowed the trip as I am not a fan of turbulence, It is amazing how fast your mind connects to your body to make you nauseated.
While we were in Florence walking around I literally bumped right into Les Gold, owner of American Jewelry and Loan in Detroit and star of "Hardcore Pawn." He and his wife were vacationing in Italy and doing a bit of shopping. We talked for a few minutes, told him a bit abt my car. They were very nice. unfortunately I totally forgot to ask for a pic til a few mins after we separated, but I could not find them in the crowded streets after that.
