Been waiting on this car to be delivered for a week! lol might not seem like much to many but it felt like ETERNITY! Haha

Got it out a bit today aaaannnnnndddd promptly ran out of gas lmao... thank god I was 1/2 block from my dads house. Was able to double time it back home to get a can. No harm no foul.

For the most part the car is as advertised... it's got what appears to be a motor mount issue... the 727 doesn't shift into drive very gracefully, the exhaust has a bit of a leak and the timing could use some timing but all in all I couldn't be happier to be driving this beast.

Future plans include:
- Transmission Rebuild
- Front Coil Over
- Stroker motor
- Rear End Swap
- power adder

For now I will just ask questions and enjoy the banter... but this car was intended to be a 700+hp build and i still plan to do so

Glad it finally showed up.
With 700 HP running out of gas should be even easier.

Glad you got your dream home. Great plans you have except one, IMHO leave the torsion bars in the front end. They are the reason "C" bodies handle so well.

Mighty fine! Love those 66s. I think NAPA has the motor / trans mounts.

Oh. And welcome to FCBO, from the People's Republic of Maryland.

Welcome I also have to say the coil overs are a waste of time and stress parts that were not designed that way. A proper way would be to would be to fab a new stub frame for coil overs for a serious track car. Better to finesse the T bar suspension to get what you want.

If you plan on 700 HP, you're gonna want an aftermarket block.

:welcome:....... Beautiful car. But, from a purest point of view, sorry to hear about the future planed mods. another nice fury bites the dust.....:BangHead:

Never intended to keep it original.. the car has already been customized quite a bit. I just really like the look/body of the vehicle.

I haven't even ruled out the possibility of a Hell Cat Swap.

Congrats! She's a beauty and it sounds like you plan to make her drive even better than she looks!

It's always a struggle with old cars: all original, or improve the drivability, or go all-out crazy with it. I've decided to keep my Fury mostly original since it was a factory Indy Pace replica. But I did swap the old carb with a new Edlebrock 650 double pumper and also added electronic ignition. The radiator was pretty corroded and she wouldn't cool well, so I decided to go with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to solve that problem. I'm replacing the rear springs (and bushings and hangers) but adding 1" to give the car a bit more rake. The front bushings and arms don't look too old so nothing needed there. The 14" wheels just look stupid on an enormous car and have no grip against the torque, so going to put wider 15's or maybe 16's on with raised white letter tires.
So nothing I'm doing can't be un-done fairly easily, but overall it should significantly improve the way the car runs and handles.

Nice man.. I am also about to slap an electric fan on there. Gonna fix the exhaust leak and timing immediately then drive it for the next 6 months before doing anything else. Here in Texas I have to take advantage of this time of year.

I forgot - I'm also installing Herman headers because of leaks as well.

What part of Texas are you in? We may be neighbors!

You may want to consider TTI over Hedman. You have to really beat the Hedman headers to fit.

Good to know! The Hedman shorties are ready to be installed but if I have trouble with the fit I'll know what to change. Hoping the shorties will allow me to keep the relatively new starter and not have to swap for a mini-starter.
