As I prepare myself to clean and repaint the trunk of my 1973 Dodge Polara I started to think about the interior of my car. After 40 years the color on some of the plastic pieces of the interior have become faded and bleached by the sun. I came across an advertisement for Herb's parts where he sells interior paints for $17 per 12 oz. can. I thought the price had been a bit high for a can of paint however, if it is as good as advertised then perhaps it would be worth it. I have included the link for your perusal.

So looking at all of the choices I became a bit hesitant in deciding the exact color for my interior. The broadcast sheet easily identifies the color as JY6, Gold Iridescant. The carpet, steering wheel and horn pad colors are identified as Y7. The color appears to be a goldish, tan color. The 1172 gold that he sells looks almost identical to the color I need however, it states that it is for 1969-70 models. My question is, how much difference occured from the gold interior shades from 1969-70 to 1973 models?
