Hey everyone,
Not new to the world of Mopars but recently picked up a C body so I branched out from FABO. This car came up on CL for cheap and I was lucky enough to jump on it. Drove it home on vintage bias ply tires and pretty much immediately put it on the road. Slowly been getting it dialed in; went through the ignition system, worked out some electrical bugs, and now I'm rebuilding the carb and doing some wheel bearing work.
It's a '64 Newport with a 361/727/8.75 combo. The interior is nearly perfect, floor pans and underbody is pretty spotless, just needs a bit of repair in the fenders/rockers. I LOVE the look of this car, possibly my favorite 4 door from Mopar in the '60s. Reactions to it out in the world are amusing because no one knows what it is but they love it. Looks every bit as mean as a big Cadillac that people would recognize. I expected to play around with the car for a few months and sell it but I'm really really enjoying it so I don't know how much of a hurry I'll be in to see it go.
