I know I'm going to stir up all kinds of controversy over this but that's what I do. I like it.... :yaayy: If it were mine, I would have made one more change, I would have made the angle on the c pillar the same as the A. IMHO that's the thing that makes these (67-68 c bodies) cars look "off" to me.

The chop is a little too much maybe 1.5-2 inches less. But the raised fins, restructured hood and fender openings, Narrowed bumpers, shaved door handles, smoothing of the lower body line, recess of the high beams and one off grill, all top notch ideas for a custom.

*edit*
I went out and measured my car based on some queues from the pictures here, this is a solid 6 inch chop. I measured 7 inches but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt since I am going off photos.

That car is stunning! I'm sure he's not looking to, but I wonder if it's worth what he has into it? That is a rhetorical question.

Definetely a head turner, but the grille mod looks like a '64-'65ish Buick or Oldsmobile.

Do you have a picture of the rear of the car?

This car is in a different world. To me it's a form of art, like a sculpture. Pure custom. It's one of those labor of love projects. Looks nice, but not my cup of tea. I couldn't even come close to the quality of work that it takes to create something like that.

This unique custom 1968 Dodge Polara has the look of a Detroit concept car from the ’50s and ’60s and won First Place at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA, as well as at the Sacramento AutoRama in the same year. It also captured the coveted Gene Winfield Award at the West Coast Kustoms Car Show in Santa Maria, CA.
The creamy vanilla and butterscotch pearl paint perfectly matches the ultrasuede interior – absolutely beautiful!!

And no I haven't found a shot of the rear yet.

I love the fact that he's not brand specific..

I almost thought it was a earlier 61 Seneca or something...but after looking at things I figured it was a 67/68 Monaco/polara...then came across the quotes posted up by 67 Monaco.

I like everything but the grille and headlight treatment...but I can't deny the craftsmanship...absolutely a stellar custom!!

Cold A/C air is not good for your eyes. :)

FCBO Quiz of the Day: Those fins are from what car.
Time starts......
Now.

62 Imperial?

Not usually a fan of customs, but that is well thought out, and works for me. With the fins and the grill, it almost seems like an early 60's car with the later roof added, rather than the other way around.

Those fins actually look like they were born with the car. They traverse the entirety of the body quiet nicely and form a nice tumble down at the end for the wall to wall tail light lens. Well executed.

I like everything except the grille. It just doesn't flow with the car.

And what about that hair hat the builder is wearing??
