Fitment question re dog dishes and cop car wheels

Back in the early 90s I worked at a bodyshop and we were doing rust repair on a mid-80s Mercedes.
After spending a few hours finding more and more elusive bolts, the front fenders still woudl not budge.
One of the older guys then told me that they are also glued on.
It took a torch and scraper/prybar to finally remove them.

Correct adhesives and proper surface prep can be pretty amazing nowadays, those products have only gotten better.

Because that's what I have, and finding 15s with the bigger hub nubs is difficult.
Thats the answer I gave my self after sending question. Maybe get a set of the smaller diameter caps that look similar to what you have. If you do fit the larger caps, will they cover a portion of the wheel venting holes?

They might - I will be checking. Even if they do I believe there'll be more venting with the remaining holes than there is on the original steel wheels with their four slots at the edges of the rim's base.

The other option is that I want to be able to run a smaller diameter dog dishes - specifically, the ones with the painted red fratzog and ring.

Not worried about venting, just after doing all the work to fit you may not like the appearance of the completed project. Get a set of the 9" (#2768007) 1968 B-body caps.
