What are the visual differences between a '76 and '77 NYB? The '78 grille is significantly different but I have a hard time telling '76 & '77 apart.

Check the sales brochures at www.eatondetroitspring.com .

Once on the page, fill in the blanks for the desired car. When the next page appears, at the rh end of the upper tool bar should be an icon of the OEM logo. Click on that to get to the brochure, if they have it.

Otherwise, the Dealer Order Guide and Color and Trim Guides in the "Library" section of www.hamtramck-historical.com for the respective model year.

Generally, the differences will be limited to trim differences, interior trim designs and fabrics, exterior and interior colors, plus some possible differences in the emissions hardware. "Easy" things to change without much additional cost, if any.

Just some obervations,

'77 has rubbers in corners of the front bumper. Thats the easiest way to notice model year

50% visual clue but early 76's had no lean burn but late 76's, and hence all 77's had lean burn.
