1976 royal Monaco. I know how I'm going to fix it but want to hear others thoughts because at the end of the day. Others inputs are how you learn new things. And no I will not replace the frame rails
I agree and that's what I will do but others don't know what or how to do DIY repairs or maybe just to scared to tackle it, it seems.Those are pretty easy to get to spots. Cut out, cardboard templates (flat, no bends) when it goes on the bottom or up other side make another flat piece weld at a 90°
This obviously is not going back on the road but I see people on here frequently afraid to tackle rust repair. Maybe when I bring it in the shop I can do a step by step repair for folks

For the pinch frame cars like cordobas and R body cars I flip them right on the roof and weld every single body seam on the car. But Jeff I haven't done that in a while good idea!Since it's a derby car, you could set it on it's side to make the job quite a bit easier, instead of welding overhead.
