It is nothing under normal conditions but under the circumstances where there are thousands of people without power , with downed trees and wires, mass flooding, natural gas lines broken... Huge amounts of destruction.... No food, water transportation blocked........ Nothing normal about it

F the marathon...take care of the people suffering. The temps are dropping into the 30's at night....that's cold when you don't have heat. Where's the Red Cross???? There should be battalion's of Red Cross members there handing out food and water...and comforting people.

I tried to contact him.... All the NYC.GOV websites are down.

I doubt that he would set foot in Staten Island again without a huge protection force. The Staten Islanders were throwing eggs at utility workers today and would't continue work unless they had police protection.
He faced criticism from everyone from sanitation workers unhappy that they had volunteered to help storm victims but were assigned to the race, to police union leaders, to the Manhattan borough president to his ally, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.

What an effing mess, I feel so badly for all those people affected by this. This new Nor-easter coming is the last thing the coast needs, Frankenstorm 1 has virtually leveled most of the shorelines natural defenses and now even average storms are just going to be boardering on unmanageable.
