We tuned the hungry 440 and found it was running out of fuel when test drove the car. Came back and also found the fuel pressure was 2lbs on the gauge. We knew it had an electric pump and seemed to be running good, but after seeing a drop in pressure to 2lbs, we knew we had and issue. I went to look at the pump and found an Airtex E8012s ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP 5psi-9psi and the free flow rate is only 30gph. I thought is was just clogged, but it ended up not being. Today went in a Summit Racing Street & Strip® electric fuel pump. I ran all new lines from the tank, put in 2 fuel filters (Hastings), one before the pump and after under the hood. What a differance. Pump is pretty quite and I have the 7lbs I was looking for. The thirsty 440 is happy and now pulls on all gears.
