Fury Hood Piece Help

I have a 66 Plymouth fury III VIP, minus the hood ornament. I bought one that resembeled something of what i saw on another fury for like 5 bucks just to say i have it but it wont stay because its too small for the hole, is it the right one? or am i just missing a piece for it? or what? any help would be appreciated guys thanks!

That looks like the standard (slant 6?) Plymouth hood ornament of that vintage. I believe that you are looking the same but with "VIP" in it-maybe the letters are in gold?

If you find one that fits for a reasonable price please tell me,,, I need one for my 66 Fury III, Found one on eBAY. It was NOS and the guy wanted $695 for it! HOLY CRAP!!

Looks like a 67 hood ornament.

I have a really good original. How do I know? It came on the car when I bought it. Doesn't look like the ones above.
