Alright Graham find me this elusive $20,000 work truck?
How to make a mid sized truck?
Take a Ridgeline and a Tacoma mix thoroughly and decorate to look like the rest of you model lines.

so is this truck going to be the size of 80's D150? or actual sized of a dakota? rather see it to be the size of a d50

They still want 50k for top of the line model :-\

I had a '92 Dakota for a long time. Loved that truck. Just the right size except for towing. Dodge kept making the Dakotas bigger and more expensive, very close to the Ram pricing and the MPG ratings were almost the same as a Ram so when I wanted a newer truck in 2004 I bought a 2 year old Ram.

This is what I don’t understand, the only way to reduce the cost of production is to mass produce the vehicle and a mid size truck is a niche vehicle at best. The Dakota died because it cost as much to buy one as a full size Ram in some cases more. The new Gladiator will be $5-$8k more than the comparable Wrangler which puts it in the $60K plus range up here. Not sure there is a business case for a midsize truck but time will tell...

BTW a 2wd Reg Cab base truck is about $32k CDN so mid $20’s USD??
