Gas tank compatibility '65 New Yorker

Looking for gas tanks compatible with my '65 new yorker. Needs to use the same sending unit and straps, if possible.

Having a hard time getting the info to cross reference with other cars. What tanks have you guys swapped out?

I've been told the '70 road runner fits nice, but unsure if straps/sending unit swapped out...

The B-body (car, not wagon) tank would have a lesser capacity than the C-body (car, not wagon) tank, I suspect (about 19 gallons vs. 24-25 gallons). Check the parts book in the Library at www.MyMopar.com to see about sending unit part numbers and parts illustrations for the tank/fuel system itself.

Vans Auto shows brand new tanks for $275.
All 65 & 66 C bodies except 65 Fury appear to be the same.

65 Fury is the orphan because of the side fill. All the rest are rear fill. $275 is a slam dunk easy button solution to all your slab side fuel tank problems. Cheap at twice the price.

Hi Sir Patrick- Nice Car! I have a 6 window version in the same color. I got a re-popped tank from Murray Park {Murray B. Park - Used and NOS Parts for Chrysler, Imperial, Dodge, Desoto, and Plymouth}, with straps & sending unit. Nice guy to deal with, the tank popped right in.

Just to be sure, my '65 New Yorker has the filler neck behind the license plate.
