Gas Tank

Fellas, I am having an issue with my gas tank- pretty much gone. Had a shop try to refinish it but there is no saving this one. If I look for a new gas tank online all I can find are 1965 and 1967 tanks. I have a 1966 Chrysler 300. Is it the same as the 65 or 67 model years? Anyone else run into this problem?

Called- they have models starting in 67. Nothing before for a Chrysler 300. The search continues.

is it a side fill tank or a back fill/behind the l plate ?

Spent some time talking with them at Carlisle, they've got both 65 Fury and 65 Polara in the works but it'll be close to next Carlisle before they have any.

If I recall correctly, a Quanta or Spectra '67 tank should work. Just make sure it's got the same number of vent tubes as your original.

I installed a CR20B in my '66 New Yorker. Fit fine.

Installed a CR20B in my 66 300. Worked fine for me.

Spent some time talking with them at Carlisle, they've got both 65 Fury and 65 Polara in the works but it'll be close to next Carlisle before they have any.

I'd get one just to have a spare.
