Hello y'all, i was doing a little detailing on the 300 now its a little cooler in the garage. My problem is years of storage and my windows have a water drops, scale type film that i have not been able to get off. Is the glass been ruined or is there some good restoration glass cleaner out there? The windsheild is going to be replaced because of cracks. I hope I can save the rest. Ideas please. Thanks!

My wife's solution for everything is vinegar. Try that.

Vinegar and newpaper. You can scrub with a green plastic scrub pad such as is used for dishes. Don't use anything more aggressive. Some use 0000 Steel Wool, but I have not been confident enough for that, as I've always been successful with vinegar and newpaper and green scrubbies.

Believe or not I tried vinegar but didnt use newspaper. I will retry. Wasnt sure about scruby pads, I have some, will give it another go! Thanks

Instead of newspaper, try using coffee filters. If the vinegar doesn't work try using car wax that is a cleaning type of car wax.

Tried vinegar again, not much better. Just ordered venco cleaner. Says good for rust, scale, water drops, rust.... made for boats and watercraft. Cant hurt. Thanks again for all the imput!

When I peeled off aftermarket window tint, best formula was to loosen the residual glue with Bleche White Tire Cleaner and then scrape the residue off with a new razor blade in a paint scraper. Final clean with Windex and rag. I had another member recommend rubbing alcohol, but I never tried it.
