I think they got it right in this case. I can't understand the NFL's stance on this as most of their income comes from TV advertising. If the tax payers are being asked to foot the bill to build new stadiums, they sure as hell shouldn't be blacked-out from viewing the games. Personally I'd like to see all public sector money evacuated from the NFL. Well that goes for all professional sports teams in fact. Sink or swim. Since when is it the tax payers responsibility to make sure these teams remain viable? Perhaps the teams should offer stock if they want people to invest in them. At least then it'd be completely voluntary.

Why would the FCC be involved in football? Makes no sense at all.
