Back in 2006 I bought a 66 Fury I 2 Dr. Sdn. /6 3 spd. on the column.
I stuffed in a built 440 with a 4 speed.
I always wondered what happened to it.
Well, the present owner found some old paperwork and sent me these pics.

It’s not a sleeper anymore.
I am not against the look on that style body, but I grew up in the ‘70’s where it wasn’t uncommon to see something like that. Traction bars and blowers. In our small town in the middle of MT. In the early’80s there was a ‘57 Chevy with a blower and traction bars and a 70-72 roadrunner dressed similarly. Those two cars made an impression on me in grade school/middle school. They were both high school kids at the time. One started a welding machine shop right after high school, I think he still has the car.

Sorry to see that happen. I've managed to keep pretty much the same as when I built it 12 years ago.

Just a point of clarification, this car does not have a blower (supercharger). It simply has a carb hat/scoop with butterflies. While this scoop was common on cars with blowers, it can be used on any carb’d engine.
Travis..

You are correct. I had to go back and look at the pictures

To clarify, the very top Pic was when I had it.
The next Pic down was how the present owner found it.
The rest of the pics show how it is now.
Hey Stan, how’s your “Home Town”?:)

Add a Homer Simpson cutout to the drivers window + windshield and car is perfect in its current form :)

BUT the car was actually perfect as it was in the first picture -2006……

Tomato- Toemato, to each his own…..
