Green Land Yachts??????

I love everything except the call for regulation. I get the why but it just seems to always squeeze the little guy.

For the current Lincoln to claim to have any heritage to cars that we called Lincoln is a travesty and a disgrace. And I'm also looking at you, Buick!

I've seen the Lincvolt and the damage done.

The point however is if it can be done with this fossile it should be way easier for current models. But we all know it won't come as the mighty oil industry and corrupted governments all over the world have no major interest as long as profits are easier and safer for them the old fashioned way. The less fuel options on the market the less competition.

As far as car tastes are concerned I'd prefer Richard Carpenter. :)

You know, the Lincvolt caught fire in 2012, in a pretty spectacular way and was almost a write-off as a result. The car has very little actual driving time since the conversion from the original engine to the electric/multi-fuel hybrid. It's all smoke, mirrors, and PC bull$hit with this car. It's only by virtue of his worn-out celebrity status that the car has any publicity at all.

The fire destroyed a warehouse that housed the car, plus most of Neil Young's songs, guitars, and other memorabilia from his days as a rocker.

The insurance company's argument sounds like a long shot and can't be taken seriously. Classic cars in original condition are at least as prone to electrical fires. Don't ask me how I know.

Maybe, but if you've paid attention to the Chevy Volt problems, as well as the Tesla's little issue of spontaneous combustion, there seems to be a LOT more of an issue with this so-called "green technology" (that uses more energy than petroleum does!). There are electric golf carts that have a similar problem. I'll take my chances with an original '57 Lincoln, personally.
