Hello all. I am an avid Mopar enthusiast from Pennsylvania and the proud owner of a 1969 New Yorker hardtop sedan. The car has a custom exhaust (2 1/2" with an h-pipe, glass packs and flanges....no welds), a Pertronix ignition, a set of hand-made polyurethane sway bar bushings (no kits were available at the time), and some other goodies here and there. I find that these cars are grossly under-appreciated and sorely in need of a strong following, so it pleases me that sites like this exist. Thank you all for carrying the torch. I hope to contribute to the longevity of these cars by offering what advice I can to assist other C-body fans in ensuring the survival of their beloved rides. Let's keep 'em rolling.

The garage you see in the background was chosen specifically for storage of this car. She barely squeaks in with about a 10 inches or so to spare (lengthwise). It also came with an extra hood, deck lid, 4 extra doors, and a host of parts. She has many upgrades in her future (with any luck), but they will all be suspension and motor related. The transmission was already upgraded to include a mild shift kit, and I do not expect the 440 to ever devour the rear (the motor will not exceed over 400 RWHP, unless I strike it rich one day), so it can remain as-is. It will need some body work to repair the rust beneath the stainless trim around the front and rear windshields (a common issue with all Mopars) which is not visible even upon close inspection (but I have seen evidence of it hiding under there). Some of the upholstery has been re-covered, but not all (just the driver's seat and the leg cushion on the back seat), and I put a new carpet in there about 7 years ago. I have had the car for 10 years.

Welcome from another eastern PA Mopar nut. My wife's ride is a 1976 Newport Custom, a local car, maintained by a Mopar Mechanic at the dealership, got her at the Boyertown show in 98, highlander interior.1976NewportCustom.jpg
