I have a 68 Newport with a couple of 1 inch tears in the vinyl hardtop... I don’t want to replace the top, now, I just want to keep the weather out and such out of it... the car is not a trophy and looks good with the original top, I just want to try and prevent more damage... any ideas on what to use to seal it up? Thanks!

I just used some black rubber cement on mine.
That black Flex Seal stuff might work also though it’s self leveling.

Not sure what color top you have. If you have a lighter color top regular rubber cement would work as well. Most seat vinyl repair kits have some sort of cement/ filler with different pattern vinyl. Once you get it glued down, use that type of filler cement to fill the gap which will help adhere the prices together to keep out water and air.
