Car was sitting many years,But this guy got it,Put in New Gas tank,Fuel pump, rebuilt carb,New Plugs, points,Distributer cap, wires,& got it running real good,Not bad about 140K orig.miles Seats re-upholstered. Looks Very solid Might get it for $1000.NOw can the 13 inch tires be replaced with 14 inch ones? from same model car? Let me know? Thanks Paul

I had a 64 Dart that I switched to 14's. Painted some steel rims body color, put on a set of dog dish's and good to go!

He says 5 bolt, but for some reason 14 inch rims won't fit???? Why? I can get a nice set of rims with Really Nice tires & Barracuda Hub-caps,spindles,brake hardware Idler arms & everything for $125 Right Now He told me he can't deliver it from Fort Lauderdale to here in Palm Bay( its not registered ) And I hate to have to get my daughter to drive me down there & use my Antique plate on it ill-legally like to get it home? Thanks Guys

My choice would be to just bite the bullet and find a J.Y. late '60s or early '70s A-Body donor and get all the bit's 'n pieces and do a 4 1/2x by 5 conversion and go straight to 15" wheels. 13" and 14" wheels limit your tire choices too much in todayz world, IMHO. Jer

Jer,,
4 1/2 didn't happen till mid '70's......

14" wheels will be fine for the valiant, it's not like you can stick fat tires under it anyway. I have as fat a tire on my 67 Dart, and it's not that big. The 9" drums are what I'd be worried about.

1973 Abodys went to 5x4 1/2 bolt pattern for Disc brakes and they used a Larger Upper ball joint so you would need the upper control arms as well.73-76

73-76 Slant/6 cars could still have Small bolt pattern wheels but will at least have the LBJ upper control arms.

Yeah, Me old and the memory ain't the first thing to get weak. I waz actually thinking of the early '70z Darts 'n Dusters. Wife's '68 Bacaruda drop top had the 5X4z. with cheapo wheel coverz. Try to find factory 4" argent silver wheel centerz for those puppyz 25 yearz ago. Even Year One couldn't keep 'um in stock back then.

Jer,,
You ain't old yet,, bucky...
But wait another week or two and mebbe you will be....
